Getting There
On my visit, I headed straight to Dubai Mall, skipping breakfast in anticipation. The metro and mall offered a cool air-conditioned escape from the outside sun. From the metro exit, the route is simple:
-
Turn right after exiting the metro.
-
Walk until you reach the Samsung store.
-
Take the escalator down three floors.
-
Follow the “At The Top” signs.
From the metro exit to the start of the queue took about 20 minutes, giving a leisurely opportunity to soak in the environment.
Moving Through the Space
Upon arrival, the area was bustling with anticipation. Visitors moved together like harmonious patterns, a lively human mosaic of excitement and curiosity.
With a skip-the-line ticket, the process was smooth and efficient. I showed my QR code, received my ticket and a “fast track” sticker, and noticed a convenient area to leave items not permitted on the observation deck.
The path toward the elevators was thoughtfully structured. Clear signage helped guide everyone comfortably. I especially appreciated the courteous staff who ensured everything ran smoothly, making the experience seamless. The elevator ride back was an experience in itself: 77 seconds of immersive visuals and audio showcasing the grandeur of the Burj Khalifa.
The Observation Deck
At 12:00, I stepped out of the elevator onto the observation deck. From the metro exit in the mall to this breathtaking vantage point, it took just over an hour.
The observation deck was vibrant and filled with people from all over the world, each marveling at the panoramic views. While everyone explored and captured photos, I focused on soaking in the experience and letting the view speak for itself.
Floor 125 and the Return
The semi-circular stairs leading up to floor 125 offered a unique perspective, highlighted by a beautiful chandelier.
